The pipeline will run through the Darwin harbor, and will requiring dredging services in the near shore area, rock installation, and the construction of a landfall.

Boskalis’ scope entails dredging an 18-km (11-mi) trench for the gas pipeline, a pipe-pull over a distance of roughly 3,000 m (9,842 ft), and installation of a protective layer of rock after the pipeline is in.

A cofferdam and winch platform will be constructed at the waterline edge to build the landfall. Work is due to start in mid-2013 and should be completed by mid-2015.
