Offshore staff
MANILA, Philippines – Shell Philippines Exploration (SPEX) has issued a notice of award to Prosafe for offshore accommodation support.
This concerns use of the semisubmersibleSafe Astoria for a minimum nine-month contract at the Malampaya Phase 3 Depletion Compression project.
On site operations are due to start during 2Q/3Q 2014. Prosafe has granted SPEX three additional one-month options.
Alternatively, SPEX can opt for an 11-month firm period plus options, or a 12-month firm period plus options.
Total value of the firm period will be between $58.1 million and $70.5 million, depending on SPEX’s decision.
Shell has been using the vessel in the area forseveral years.
