EnerMech lands Apache North Sea crane contract

Apache North Sea Ltd. has awarded EnerMech a £6.6-million ($10.5-million) contract to supply and install four new BOP handling cranes on the Forties Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta platforms.

ABERDEEN, UK– Apache North Sea Ltd. has awarded EnerMech a £6.6-million ($10.5-million) contract to supply and install four new BOP handling cranes on the Forties Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta platforms.

EnerMech will deliver four Stahl cranes, and the project is expected to be completed by 1Q 2013. The company says the crane upgrade program will deliver Apache an extended lift capability for BOP systems, improved material handling capacity, and enhanced safety offshore.

John Morrison, EnerMech cranes and lifting director, said: “This is the largest capital equipment order received by EnerMech to date.”
