Chevron wants to suspend production at Frade offshore Brazil

SAN RAMON, California – Chevron Brasil Upstream Frade Ltda has requested to suspend production at Frade field, Campos basin, offshore Brazil.

Chevron identified a new small seep and this request is a precaution. The other partners in the field have ratified the step.

Chevron has a 51.74% operating interest in the Frade field. Other partners in the project are Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), 30%; and Frade Japão Petróleo Ltda., a joint-venture company of INPEX, Sojitz and JOGMEC, 18.26%.
