BAM Clough sign Ichthys loading facility contracts

Clough Ltd. (ASX:CLO) says the BAM Clough joint venture has signed two contracts with JGC Corp., KBR, and Chiyoda Corp. to design and construct the Ichthys LNG module offloading facility and product loading jetty for A$510 million ($529 million).

Construction activities are scheduled to commence in early 2013. Project completion is expected at the end of 2014. The installations are at Darwin, Australia.

TheIchthys LNG Project is a joint venture between INPEX (76%, the operator) and Total (24%). Gas from the Ichthys field, in the Browse basin approximately 200 km (124 mi) offshore of Western Australia, will undergo preliminary processing offshore to remove water and extract condensate. The gas will then be exported to onshore processing facilities in Darwin via an 889 km (552 mi) subsea pipeline.
