Aker wins breakthrough Bahrain trees order

Enerserv W.L.L has contracted Aker Solutions for 600 sets of surface wellheads and trees for the Awali oilfield in the Persian Gulf, offshore Bahrain.

OSLO, Norway – Enerserv W.L.L has contracted Aker Solutions for 600 sets of surface wellheads and trees for the Awali oilfield in the Persian Gulf, offshore Bahrain.

This is Aker’s first surface wellhead contract in Bahrain, and is valued at $17 million.The company expects to deliver the first45 sets in June.

Aker Solutions’ surface products manufacturing center in Batam, Indonesia, will manage the program, supported in Bahrain by an oilfield service center at Ramsis Engineering, a sister company of Enerserv.

In 2009, Aker Solutions upgraded the Batam facility to increase its production capacity. As a result, it claims, capacity for production and assembly of surface wellheads and trees has increased by more than 50%.
