Tullow contracts Aker for well intervention offshore Ghana

LYSAKER, Norway – Tullow Ghana Ltd. has signed a frame agreement with Aker Solutions for well intervention at Jubilee and Tanto deepwater fields offshore Ghana.

Under the $4-million agreement, Aker Solutions will provide slickline and coiled tubing equipment and services for three years with two additional one-year options.

“We will utilize this to set up a more permanent presence in Ghana, which will also drive the need for a larger local workforce,” said Wolfgang Puennel, head of well intervention services for Aker Solutions.
