RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras has executed all of its contingency procedures in response to the oil spill at Carioca Nordeste.

Three oil collection vessels have covered the location, and two more vessels are supporting the mechanical dispersion of the remaining oily water. Petrobras says 15 cu m (530 cu ft, or 94 bbls) of the oily water were collected.

Two flyovers earlier today found one area of scattered oil traces remaining.
