STAVANGER, Norway – Development of the Oselvar field in the Norwegian North Sea is on target for first oil before mid-year, according to partner Noreco.

DONG Energy is developing the field in license PL274 as a tieback to the Ula platform.

Thefirst production well was completed and tested successfully in November. The pipeline to Ula has also been installed, and subsea tie-ins are under way, although harsh weather has impacted progress.

Integration continues of the Oselvar topside module to the Ula platform.

Noreco is also a partner in theGita discovery offshore Denmark. Here a seismic re-processing campaign has been completed on four different surveys, aimed at pre-stack depth migration to improve depth imaging.

Geologic re-interpretation continues. When the updated models are ready, well planning will start for appraisal of Gita other potential resources in the licenses by 2013.
