BANGKOK, Thailand – Schlumberger has made available its new PressureXpress-HT reservoir pressure service and MDT Forte-HT high-temperature formation sampling and pressure system.

The PressureXpress-HT is rated to 450ºF (232ºC) and measures pressure gradients using a dynamically controlled pressure pretest system for control of volume and drawdown rates. This is particularly useful to pressure test tight formations, says Schlumberger.

The MDT Forte-HT is designed to 400ºF (204ºC) for more robustness in formation sampling and testing. It has redesigned electronics incorporating surface-mounted components on a ruggedized chassis. It also has a new-generation HP/HT quartz gauge, high-performance packers for the dual-packer module, and advanced sealing technology.

“These two tool systems expand our capabilities to deliver reliable downhole fluid analysis, fluid sampling, pressure measurement and interval pressure transient testing,” said Catherine MacGregor, president, Schlumberger Wireline.
