New deepwater well control drilling course introduced

HOUSTON – Well Control School and AXON Energy Products have developed the deepwater well control drilling course. This competency‐based training course will facilitate an effective learning approach to critical thinking along with improving problem solving skills.

The course is International Association of Drilling Contractors WellCAP Plus accredited.

The learner will work within a team structure to analyze and address major decision points in several case studies. A facilitator‐led training delivery method will enhance effective decision making skills regarding well control in deepwater drilling operations.

AXON Energy Products will provide a state‐of‐the‐art Intellectus hiDRILL integrated drilling simulator and drilling software technology, from its subsidiary Oiltec Solutions and affiliate eDrilling Solutions, which are utilized in this course at WCS’s Training Center in Houston.
