Go-ahead for Jette in North Sea

Det norske oljeselskap has approval from Norway’s authorities to develop the Jette field in the North Sea.

TRONDHEIM, Norway – Det norske oljeselskap has approval from Norway’s authorities to develop the Jette field in the North Sea.

This will be the company’sfirst field development as operator.

Jette contains roughly 14 MMboe, with an anticipated 30% recovery rate. The field will be tied back to ExxonMobil’s Jotun FPSO 4 km (2½ mi) to the north. Production should start early in 2013, building to around 14,000 boe/d.

The estimated development cost is around $437 million.
