DNV approves Kongsberg Maritime Bridge Operation Simulator

KONGSBERG, Norway – DNV has approved the Kongsberg Maritime Bridge Operation Simulator according to the revised standards that became effective on Jan. 1, 2012.

The Kongsberg Maritime Polaris Bridge Simulator enables training in ship handling, maneuvering, and navigation, based on visuals and realistic hydrodynamic models. Polaris can be delivered as a full-mission, 360º motion platform-based integrated simulator, a part task simulator (ECDIS, radar etc); a PC based desktop simulator, or any combination of these.
