Cal Dive wins GoM abandonment, decommissioning contract

HOUSTON – Cal Dive International Inc. has won a field abandonment and decommissioning contract from a Gulf of Mexico operator. The contract calls for abandonment of 16 wells, seven pipelines, and removal of eight structures.

Work on the $25-million project is expected to begin this quarter with completion in June 2012.

The operator was not named.
