Approval for Glitne plugback in North Sea

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has approved Statoil’s plan for well plugging on the Glitne field in the North Sea.

OSLO, Norway –The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has approved Statoil’s plan for well plugging on the Glitne field in the North Sea.

The semisubCOSL Pioneer will be drafted in for permanent plugback, drilling, and completion of well 15/5 A-7, part of production license 048 B. 

Water depth at the site is 110 m (361 ft).

Work should start at the end of February and should last around 106 days.
