An EPCI (engineer, procure, construct, install) contract has been awarded for the Anoa Phase 4 development in the Natuna Sea off Indonesia, according to operator Premier Oil.

The project was sanctioned in November and should be completed in 2013. It will harness around 200 bcf of undeveloped reserves through increasing the Anoa complex’s compression capability.

Premier expects to receive sanction for development of the Pelikan and Naga fields by end-March, leading to probable first gas in 2014.

In Natuna Sea block A, the Anoa Deep well is drilling ahead with results expected at the end of this month. The rig will then relocate to drill the Biawak Besar prospect.

Offshore Vietnam, long lead items are being purchased for the Dua tie-in to the Chim Sáo field, following government approval of the Outline Development Plan. Premier expects first oil here in 2014

Last year’s Chim Sáo North West discovery will be appraised by a well this spring. In block 07/03, the current plan is to drill a further exploration well toward the end of 2012, targeting both the Miocene and Oligocene reservoirs.
