FPSO to remain on Marlim field in Campos basin

MONACO – Petrobras has granted SBM Offshore a 26-month extension for the lease and operating contract of the FPSO Marlim Sul offshore Brazil.

The extension begins in April 2012, at the end of the initial eight-year lease.

FPSO Marlim Sul has capacity to process 100,000 b/d of crude oil production and 2.3 MMcm/d of gas compression.

Produced gas is exported through Campos basin pipelines. The process facilities include gas treatment and water injection modules.
