DeepOcean secures construction program offshore Norway

Statoil has awarded DeepOcean a four-year frame agreement for offshore survey services.

HAUGESUND, Norway –Statoil has awardedDeepOcean a four-year frame agreement for offshore survey services.

The agreement, which also carries two one-year options, covers light construction, ROV surveys with hull-mounted multi beam echosounder (MBE), and ROV surveys without MBE.

The first call-off for light construction services work is a six-month program offshore Norway starting on March 1, with six one-month options.

Volstad Surveyor, a light construction support vessel, will be used for the campaign, with the project directed by a project team in DeepOcean’s Haugesund office.

The company now has four vessels working for Statoil through 2012.
