TGS starts 3D seismic survey offshore northwestern Australia

PERTH, Australia – TGS has started to acquire a new 3D multi-client seismic survey over Mary Rose Northeast offshore northwest Australia.

The survey will cover 3,100 sq km (1,978 sq mi) of the Exmouth Plateau in Carnarvon basin and will include parts of blocks WA-365-P, WA-346-P, and W10-21. These are northeast of the previous survey in Mary Rose.

Data is being acquired by the M/V Geo Atlantic and will be complete in 1Q 2012, with a fasttrack volume available in 2Q 2012 and the full survey data in 4Q 2012.
