SOCO starts batch drilling offshore Vietnam

LONDON – SOCO International plc is drilling the first of five batched wells from the H4 wellhead platform. PetroVietnam Drilling’s PDV-1 jackup is doing the drilling.

Meanwhile, oil production into the Armada TGT-1 FPSO is running at 31,000 b/d. Well testing and final commissioning of the secondary recovery system on the vessel also continues. A target of 55,000 b/d production in 1Q 2012 is planned with a revised reservoir management system and changes to the 2012 drilling program.
