MOSCOW -- Rosneft president Eduard Khudainatov has issued an update of the company’s programs offshore Russia.

Earlier this year, in association with ExxonMobil, the company started to implement large-scale development projects at the East Prinovozemelskiy 1, 2, 3 license areas in the Kara Sea and in the Tuapse Trough license block in the Black Sea.

In spring 2012, a fleet will depart to the Kara Sea to conduct a seismic survey. Work will also start at another new license area – Yuzhno-Chernomorskoe – where a 2D seismic survey is planned.

At the Yuzhno-Russkoe license area in the Pechora Sea, a Rosneft team has undertaken geological and geophysical research for use in estimating hydrocarbon resources and geological risks, to determine priority exploration guidelines, and for a detailed field appraisal project.
