COSCO to convert tanker into FPSO for Cernambi-Sul offshore Brazil

SINGAPORE – COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard Co. Ltd. has won a contract to convert the large crude tanker Sunrise Jewel into an FPSO to be stationed offshore Brazil.

The FPSO will have a capacity to handle liquids and gas processing and compression, and 1.6 MMbbl of storage.

The vessel will go to the Cernambi-Sul field offshore Brazil.
