Cascade/Chinook start imminent in Gulf of Mexico

RIO DE JANEIRO -- Petrobras expects to start production of the Cascade/Chinook fields, in the Gulf of Mexico in January, according to a report by the company.

The company also plans to start drilling in 2012 on its exploration blocks offshore Portugal, where it is in a consortium with Galp and Partex. Currently, interpretation of seismic data is under way.
