ATP completes Clipper #4, contracts pipelay barge for 2012

HOUSTON – ATP Oil & Gas Corp. has completed the second Clipper well and tested it at 9,000 b/d of oil and 4.6 MMcf/d of natural gas, the company reports. This is the #4 well in Green Canyon 300 in 3,450 ft (1,052 m) water depth. It logged 56 ft (17 m) of net oil pay.

In July 2011, ATP completed and flow tested the first Clipper well, GC 300 #2 ST #1, at a rate of 4,656 b/d and 45.6 MMcf/d.

A pipeline lay barge is contracted for 3Q 2012 to tie in both the GC 300 #4 and #2 wells to the Murphy Oil-operated Front Runner production facility.

ATP operates Clipper and presently owns a 100% working interest.
