Technip/OOG venture to supply newbuild pipelay vessels to Petrobras

PARIS & RIO DE JANEIRO – A Technip/Odebrecht Oil & Gas joint venture has a $1 billion letter of award from Petróleo Brasileiro SA for a five-year charter and operation of two identical flexible pipelay vessels. The agreement has a mutual option to extend the term for five more years.

The Technip and OOG JV will manage construction of the vessels at the Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering shipyard in the Republic of Korea.
