FMC to supply Chevron's Wheatstone with subsea production systems

HOUSTON – Chevron Australia Pty Ltd has signed a contract for FMC Technologies Inc. to design, manufacture, and supply subsea production systems to the Wheatstone Project offshore Australia.

The $325-million contract includes 11 subsea production trees, 11 wellheads, three manifolds, subsea and topside controls, and well access systems. Delivery is scheduled to begin in 2013.

The Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project comprises the Wheatstone and Iago gas fields offshore Western Australia in water depths between 330 and 850 ft (100 to 260 m).
