HOUSTONEndeavour International says drilling is under way on three planned production wells on the Apache-operated Bacchus field in the UK central North Sea.

Based on the current rate of progress, Endeavour expects first production from the field in block 22/06a early next year.

For the Greater Rochelle development, also in the central UK sector, Endeavour has contracted the Awilco semi WilHunter to drill two planned production wells, probably starting early next spring.

Endeavour operates this project in blocks 15/26b, 15/26c, and 15/27.

Elsewhere in the UK North Sea, the company will participate in an appraisal well on the Tudor Rose oil discovery which is due to spud this month.

The well will test the viscosity of the oil in place and the economics of the discovery.
