The contract was awarded by Mezhregiontruboprovostroy (MRTS) for Gazprom Dobycha Shelf, as part of the Sakhalin 3 project.

Kirinskoye is in a water depth of up to 85 m (29 ft) in the sea of Okhotsk, 28 km (17 mi) off the east coast of Sakhalin Island, and is the first subsea development of this type anywhere in Russia.

Saipem’s scope includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of subsea structure; connections to subsea wells; and installation of infield umbilicals and the shore approach to the main inland; along with survey activities on the field.

The company’s yard in Karimun will handle fabrication.

Off Indonesia, by PearlOil (Sebuku) has contracted Saipem for transport and installation of platforms for the Ruby Field development. The location is in the Sebuku block off the eastern coast of Kalimantan (Borneo), in the Makassar Strait.

Structures to be delivered are a process and quarters platform, a wellhead platform, and an interconnecting bridge.
