Non-commercial gas find for Premier off Vietnam

LONDON – Premier Oil has discovered gas offshore Vietnam, but with a 99% CO2 content.

The 104-QMV-1X well on the Qua Mit Vang prospect in block 104-109/05, was drilled to a TD of 3,832 m (12,572 ft) in fractured basement rock.

A drillstem test was conducted across the basement interval. The well is being plugged and abandoned as a dry hole.
