Lukoil contracts platforms for Filanovsky oil development in the Caspian

MOSCOW – Lukoil has ordered a riser platform and residential module platform for installation at the northern Caspian Sea’s Vladimir Filanovsky oil field in 2012-14.

It also reports that field development work including construction of a drilling and operations platform and central processing platform will begin late this year or early in 2012.

Additional plans call for laying of 330 km (205 mi) of subsea pipeline and about the same amount onshore to the existing Kalmykia facilities.
