TEHRAN, Iran – Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Co. (IOEC) is working on projects with a combined value exceeding $9 billion, according to CEO Ali Taheri Motlaq.

He was speaking during a visit by parliamentary officials earlier this week to IOEC’s Khorramshahr yard. The company is currently implementing phases 9, 10, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, and 20 of the South Pars development in the Persian Gulf, and the Foruzan oil field project.

Motlaq said the company’s current program involved building 32 jackets and 12 platforms and installation of 1,200 km (745 mi) of pipelines over a three-year period ending March 20, 2013.

According to another Iranian official, Abbas Rajabkhani, National Iranian Offshore Oil Co. expects to increase oil production shortly from offshore fields in the Lavan region.

Currently, four oilfields are delivering 100,000 b/d combined, he told Iranian news service Shana, the largest and most productive being Salman and the smallest being Alfa, where in-place reserves are 77 MMbbl.

A current program to expand facilities on the Reshadat field should be completed by March 2013, and output from the Resalat field should climb from 8,000 b/d to 12,000 b/d in December.
