ROME, ItalyEni has started gas production from the Guendalina field platform in the Adriatic Sea.

According to partner Mediterranean Oil & Gas, the final project cost will likely be around 7% higher than Eni’s original estimates.

The Guendalina field is in the AC 35 AG concession, 47 km (29 mi) offshore Italy’s northeast coast and in 42 m (138 ft) of water. Gas reserves are given as 22 bcf.
