TGS starts 3D seismic acquisition off Sierra Leone

HOUSTON – TGS says it has started acquisition of new multi-client 3D seismic data offshore Sierra Leone and will add 1,038 sq km (401 sq mi) of data.

The new industry-funded survey targets Sierra Leone’s part of the West Africa transform margin.

The M/V GeoCarribean is acquiring the data, and the project is expected to be complete before year end. Processed data is scheduled for delivery in 1Q 2012.
