Nexans to supply lead-in cable for PGS

PARIS – Nexans will supply lead-in cable systems for the GeoStreamer seismic array technology being deployed by Petroleum Geo-Services under a €3 million ($4 million) contract.
The contract includes fairings and terminations as well as the cable. Lead-in cables, usually about 1.1 km (0.68 mi) in length, contain electrical and fiber optic cores protected by steel wire armor and with polymer strips attached on the outside to reduce vibration.
