STOCKHOLM, Sweden – PA Resources has started drilling the Lille John prospect in license 12/06 in the Danish North Sea.

Earlier this summer the company discovered gas and condensate via a well on the Broder Tuck prospect in the same concession. In August, a side track encountered additional hydrocarbons, but this well has since been P&A’d.

The jackup ENSCO 70 is drilling Lille John, 8 km (4.9 mi) south of Broder Tuck. The well has targets in Miocene, Chalk, and Mid-Jurassic intervals where PA Resources hopes to find both oil and gas.

Partners are Nordsøfonden (Danish North Sea Fund), Danoil Exploration, and Spyker Energy.
