ELLON, UK – Oilfield service provider Romar International has entered agreements with companies in Norway and South America.

By linking up with Stavanger-based Petroproducts, a subsidiary of Petrolink, Romar aims to offer an expanded service to the offshore drilling and asset decommissioning sectors.

In South America, it is teaming up with Bolivia-based Intergas Servicios Petroleros to offer local drilling contractors a range of magnetic separation products.

Romar provides these products to remove metal contaminants from all types of drilling fluids. In particular they are designed to extract large quantities of swarf from fluid systems without the need for mechanical intervention, eliminating operators’ exposure to swarf and other hazardous chemicals.

The company hopes this new venture will help it access the offshore sector in Brazil, where its sees potentially strong demand for its mud spill prevention systems and flow-line ditch magnets.

Romar also aims to develop and manufacture additional swarf recovery and disposal technologies.
