E.ON Ruhrgas all set for Norwegian Sea well

Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has cleared E.ON Ruhrgas to drill and exploration well in the Norwegian Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has cleared E.ON Ruhrgas to drill and exploration well in the Norwegian Sea.

The semisub Borgland Dolphin will drill well 6507/6-4 (S&A) in production license 350.

The location is 39 km (24 mi) northeast of the Heidrun field, and 160 km (9.4 mi) from Vikna, western Norway. Water depth is 362 m (1,187 ft).

Drilling will last between 85 and 112 days, depending on any discoveries.
