Offshore staff
OSLO, Norway – Aker Engineering & Technology has won a contract to perform basic engineering for Total's Hild field development in the Norwegian North Sea. The contract value is around NOK 215 million ($37 million).
The scope of work, due to be completed next summer, includes engineering for the topsides, jacket, a floating storage and offloading unit, turret and mooring, subsea umbilicals, risers, pipelines and flowlines, and transportation and installation.
Topsides engineering will be handled by Aker Solutions in Oslo, while the turret and mooring work will be conducted in Kristiansand. Aker Solutions previously undertook a pre-project/pre-basic engineering study for the field.
Hild is an oil and gas field, around 160 km (9.4 mi) offshore and 42 km (26 mi) west of the Statoil-operated Oseberg field, in a water depth of 100-120 m (328-393 ft).
Total E&P Norge operates the surrounding license, in partnership with Statoil and Petoro.
