ABERDEEN, UK – Expro is providing its SafeWells integrity management software system globally to Tullow Oil.
SafeWells monitors and reports well integrity performance in real time, highlights problems, and prompts remedial actions when needed.
Expro says Tullow’s wells engineering department decided to review the company’s approach to well integrity and put in place a centrally-managed well integrity system. The aim was to provide management with a retrospective position for the integrity of all wells, designed to “raise the bar” on operating standards of all assets.
Simon Sparke, well integrity focal point of Tullow Oil, said: “With 10 different wells types in challenging engineering and cultural environments, having a software package that was user friendly, flexible, and working seamlessly in the background was crucial.”
