SPE Aberdeen appoints chairman

SPE Aberdeen has appointed Masud Javaid as chairman.

ABERDEEN, UK – SPE Aberdeen has appointed Masud Javaid as chairman.

He is a senior economist within the strategy and economics team for TOTAL E&P UK. Javaid has more than 12 years of experience in the energy industry.

He said: “I want to thank the outgoing chair, Chris Nussbaum, for the great work that he has done and I hope to continue where he left off. I feel extremely privileged to have been selected by my peers as chairman of the Aberdeen Section. The aim of SPE as an organization is to provide opportunities for our members and all industry professionals to enhance their technical and professional abilities and to promote lifelong learning.”
