HOUSTON – Petro Vietnam Technical Services has awarded InterMoor a prelay mooring system contract for a project offshore Vietnam.

Working with Thiennam Offshore Services and using DOF Subsea’s Skandi Hercules, the prelaid mooring spreads already are in place in the two locations. Each location has eight conventional lines with insert wire, grounded chain, and eight 12 ton Stevpris NG anchors.

The PVD5 tender-assisted rig is scheduled on location in October to be moored using the prelaid spread. Location water depths range from 118 m (387 ft) to 135 m (443 ft), according to InterMoor.
