ABERDEEN, UK – Tentec plans to debut its new Optimus 7 bolt tensioning tool that can be used both subsea and topside. The presentation also is to feature the Bolt Tightening Software package that walks the operator through the complete sequence.
Tentec says the Optimus 7 works on ANSI B16.5, ANSI B16.47, API 6A, API 17D, and MSS-SP44 pipe flanges plus the Vector SPO Compact Flanges.
The software gives the correct, best practice tightening sequences along with the tensioner pressures required to tighten a bolted joint in the most efficient time possible.
Other new Tentec products to be featured at the show include the Optimus Flange Pulling System, hydraulic torque wrenches, and a specially designed Blind Flange Cap as used on a specialized water injection system project in the North Sea.
