IHS-CERA responds to Bromwich’s comments on study

IHS-CERA has sent the comments to Offshore in response to BOEMRE’s criticism of a recently released study on the pace of permitting in the Gulf of Mexico:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – IHS-CERA has sent the following comments to Offshore in response to BOEMRE’s criticism of a recently released study on the pace of permitting in the Gulf of Mexico:

“IHS has received the letter from Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE) Director, Michael Bromwich regarding the recent report, Restarting “the Engine” –Securing American Jobs, Investment and Energy Security. We firmly stand behind our research and its methodology and look forward to the opportunity for discussion with Mr. Bromwich and BOEMRE about its findings. Immediately following the release of the study we offered to brief Mr. Bromwich and his staff. We are waiting for the bureau to confirm a date and look forward to meeting with them.”
