SINGAPORE – Keppel Shipyard is on schedule to complete modification and upgrade works on the FPSO OSX-1 for OSX Brasil.

The vessel has been chartered to OGX Petroleo e Gas for deployment on the Waimea field in Campos basin. This will be OGX's first oil production project, four years after the company was founded. Start-up is due late this year.

Keppel Shipyard's work scope included fabricating, modifying, and upgrading the topside process modules. The yard had also performed detailed engineering and procurement for the topside modules in partnership with DPS (Bristol).

BW Offshore provided project management, engineering services, and technical guidance services.

The floater, formerly known as Nexus-1, should leave Singapore later this summer.
