BANCHORY, UK – Keppel FELS in Singapore has delivered the new deepwater jackup Rowan Norway to Rowan Co.s Inc.
The rig will be transported on the heavy-lift vessel OHT Hawk to Dundee in eastern Scotland. There it will undergo final testing and will be crewed and equipped for use on Xcite Energy’s Bentley field in the UK northern North Sea.
Xcite says preparations for submission of a field development plan to the UK government remain on track and are consistent with the rig deployment timing.
