PARIS – Endeavour Energy UK has awarded Technip a €70-million ($99.7 million) EPC contract for installations for the East Rochelle development in the UK North Sea.

The field is 185 km (115 mi) northeast of Aberdeen, in 140 m (459 ft) of water.

Technip in Aberdeen will provide full project management and detailed design, fabrication, installation, and pre-commissioning of 30 km (18.6 mi) of pipe-in-pipe, flexible riser, free issue umbilical, subsea isolation valves, and manifolds. Duties extend to tie-in spools, trenching, backfill, and rock dumping work.

Pipe-in-pipe will be welded at Technip’s spoolbase in Evanton, northern Scotland, with the flexible riser manufactured at the group’s specialist plant in Le Trait, northern France.

Offshore installations should be completed during the second half of 2012, using vessels from the Technip fleet.
