HOUSTON – Talisman Energy is seeking partners for its planned appraisal program on the Kildrummy discovery in the UK central North Sea.

According to brokers Indigo Pool, there is additional exploration upside via the Udny prospect and the NW Hoy exploration well.

Both are close to Talisman’s producing Piper field in the Outer Moray Firth basin, in water depths ranging from 140-145 m (459-476 ft).

Kildrummy, estimated to have P50 resources of 41.5 MMboe, has a defined appraisal program, with near-term development potential.

Udny, just to the northwest, has P50 resources of 7.6 MMboe, while NW Hoy, southwest of Piper, has P50 resources of 84 MMboe.

Both Kildrummy and NW Hoy are near to the Piper infrastructure, and therefore in line for subsea tiebacks.
