LUXEMBOURG – Dana Petroleum has awarded Subsea 7 a $50-million contract to supply a subsea spread in the UK North Sea.
The scope of the contract, for the Triton field in the Greater Guillemot Area, comprises engineering, fabrication and installation of a 25-km (15.5-mi) 10-in. (25.4-cm) water injection pipeline; installation of a 16-km (9.9-mi) static umbilical and umbilical riser base; and related tie-ins, testing and pre-commissioning.
Engineering work has started in the Aberdeen office. Offshore installation should get under way during the second half of 2011.
