STAVANGER, Norway – Statoil has contracted Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) for a 12-day 3D survey in the Barents Sea for research purposes.
EMGS’ Atlantic Guardian vessel will acquire high-resolution, full-azimuth 3D electromagnetic (EM) data using densely sampled receiver grids.
On conclusion of this work, the vessel will complete its campaign of back-to-back surveys with another program in the North Sea before transferring to the Americas around end-July.
