Maersk orders cuttings re-injection package

Maersk Drilling has contracted Aker Solutions subsidiary STEP Offshore for an integrated cuttings re-injection system for the jackup Maersk Reacher.

OSLO, Norway – Maersk Drilling has contracted Aker Solutions subsidiary STEP Offshore for an integrated cuttings re-injection system for the jackup Maersk Reacher.

Aker Solutions and STEP will supply a complete system to slurry the cuttings and to re-injection of drill cuttings, which they say will provide “next generation” HSE performance and drilling efficiency. The value of the contract is $4.7 million.

Scope of supply includes process equipment, control system, installation supervision, commissioning, offshore start-up assistance, and training. The equipment is scheduled for delivery by mid-year.
